Amex offers insurance price promotion

American Express has announced that it is launching a price promotion on its budget annual European travel insurance, offering cover from 11p per day.

According to the company, this could lead to savings of over 20 per cent for its customers.

Amex’s individual annual cover is priced at £39 for adults aged 18-65, while its family cover, for two adults aged 18-65 and children under 18, costs £69 until February 28th 2007.

The provider’s budget annual travel insurance package offers cover for the top three insurance claims for travellers – medical, holiday cancellation and lost luggage.

Other policy benefits include medical emergency and repatriation cover of £2 million, personal liability cover for £1 million and £10,000 of cover for personal accidents.

The package will cover trips of up to 31 consecutive days, with a total of 93 days cover throughout the policy year.
