		<description>Can I just present the other side of the argument please? Lots of people consolidate their loans to one rate, and then go out and start spending again. Also, it makes it impossible to use techniques such as setting off some loads against 0% credit cards and so on. 

I don&#039;t deny consolidation loans have their uses, but those of us more sophisticated in financial matters should remember they&#039;re not always right for the sort of people likely to get into debt in the first place...</description>
