Advertise on your car and make money
November 5, 2008
One advertising firm is offering to pay consumers to rent advertising space on their cars, and some consumers could earn up to £1500 a year by allowing the company to advertise products and services on behalf of clients on their cars. Officials from the advertising firm have said that this is a good way for drivers to weather the high cost of motoring and beat the effects of the credit crunch.
There are certain stipulations in place for eligibility relating to areas such as the amount of mileage that the driver covers. The size and placement of the advertisement will determine how much the driver is paid for renting space on their car for advertising. There are three packages, which are the bronze, silver, and gold packages.
The Managing Director of the advertising firm, Lion Media, said: ‘The rise in oil price and general living cost has resulted in many people struggling to pay fuel, insurance and tax bills with some motorists being forced to leave their car at home or even sell it. We are delighted to be able to offer a sustainable way of offsetting some of their costs in the form of our advertising scheme.’
One student who has signed up to the scheme said that she had been earning £125 a month for renting advertising space on her car, and this had covered her fuel bills and left her with extra money to spend on other things.
