Choosing the Best Credit Card Product for Your Needs

October 3, 2008

rewardsCredit cards are so convenient that it is difficult to imagine being without one. However, there are so many different credit card products available, when you want to apply for a card, it is hard to decide which one will best meet your needs. You have to determine what you want in a credit card and then set about searching for the best one for you.

If you own a business, whether it is a small home-based business or a large company, one way of building up a credit score in the business name is to apply for a business credit card. This allows you to use the card for business purchases rather than using your own money, which you then have to put back from the business income.

It is often difficult to obtain a business credit card unless you have been in business for at least two years. However, in some cases you can obtain this type of card after one year of business when you have a letter of reference from your bank. If you apply to the bank you use for your business account, you will get a card to use much easier and faster.

Are you looking for a credit card that offers rewards, such as air miles? There are many such credit cards available that offer travel benefits, but some of these are associated with only one airline. If you don’t usually use the same airline for your travel, then you would be wise opting for a credit card that lets you accumulate air miles you can use with any airline. You do have to check the various types of credit cards of this nature because some of them have an annual fee.

There are also credit cards issued by stores that you can use anywhere and accumulate points you can use toward purchasing items in that store. If you have a favourite store in which you shop frequently, this would be an affordable option. You have the convenience of using the credit card whenever you need to, but when you accumulate points, you can use these to basically get free things at the store. You do have to check the cost of the annual fee because this could cancel out the rewards that you receive in return for using the card.

The interest rates charged by credit card companies and banks are an important aspect of choosing the right credit card. Some companies do have an exorbitant amount of interest that makes repaying the outstanding balance a long drawn out process if you only make the minimum payment each month.

You may not bother with the interest rate if you intend repaying the balance on the card each month, but you do have to consider that there may be times when you are unable to do so for some reason. It is a wise decision to check the various rates that are associated with the different credit cards to choose the one that is the lowest.

When you first get a credit card, there is usually an introductory period of 0% interest for a limited period of time – usually six months. Some companies also offer a low rate of interest on balance transfers from other accounts. You can take advantage of these offers to pay off some of your other debts that do carry a much higher interest rate.

One way of doing this is to transfer the balance owing to a 0% credit card and make the combined regular payments of the accounts to pay off this new card. You will be surprised how quickly and easily you can reduce your debt in this way. The interest free periods differ from one card to another, so you should check out the length of this period and choose the longest one.

Students can benefit greatly from obtaining and using student credit cards. These cards usually have a low limit and enable the students to start building a credit rating for themselves. Then when they graduate from college, they won’t have any difficulty obtaining a loan for a vehicle. They are very convenient for times when you have unexpected expenses or if you need to hire a car. You do have to use these cards wisely and try to pay off the balance at the end of the month because they usually have high interest rates associated with them.

If you want the convenience of having a credit card but you don’t want any debt, then you can consider a pre-paid credit card. These cards do not look any different from an ordinary credit card, but they are different in that the money you use is your own. You put an amount of money on the credit card from your bank account so that when you use it you won’t have to pay it back.

Thanks for your mail. Please understand that we have a protocol regarding loan transfers. You have to provide the commission on transfer to effect the loan into your account. Your agreement is with your loan company and this our transfer policy and we cannot change it.

Please endeavour to see that the funds are transfered to the bank wire transfer director so the approval for the loan to be credited into your account can be given.

The loan amount of $20,000 was deposited by your lender.

I await the payment information so we can efect the transfer to you. I hope you understand.

    Dear Sharon ,

I am in receipt of your mail, and this company is very impressed with your swift response to our mail, which shows that you serious in securing this loan and sequel to your mail, the board of management have decided that the fee of $750, can not be deducted from the principal loan amount, because it will alter the loan amount as applied for.
So we have reached a conclusion that, you will immediately send over the $750 as soon as your account is funded with full loan amount and we believe that your bank account is competent enough to receive the funds from the transferring bank.

Nevertheless, like i earlier stated, the loan will be made available to your via the bank wire transfer from our issuing, the Barclay’s International Bank, of which we have a capital base of over £6,000,0000,000.00GBP, as deposit, for transferring loans.

So all you have to do now, is for you to send your bank details with a copy of the signed approval letter, and this application I.D # 1345760BQ, via mail at info@barclaysonline-bnk.com, to the transferring dept of the Barclay’s Bank, and as soon as they confirm it with us, you will receive a confirmation from them via mail and the transfer of your loan will be immediately effected.

You are to send them all the details as i have drafted below, and as soon as they receive it, your account will be processed, and the loan will be transferred.
