Over 55s want to travel more
October 26, 2007
New research has found that the so-called ‘Baby Boomers’ generation of the 50s has plans to travel more.
A study conducted by Bradford and Bingley also determined that the age group had a few regrets, including not taking the chance to live abroad.
Some 48 per cent of those quizzed expressed a desire to have travelled more and one in five (18 per cent) wish they had moved overseas.
Paul Whitlock, Bradford and Bingley head of savings, said: "It appears many over 55s do have something they regret, but in most cases it is not too late to do something about it.
"Putting money aside and making it work for them means they are one step closer to realising their dreams, whether this be travel to exciting destinations or making a more permanent move abroad."
A 37 per cent portion of the respondents said that they wish they had started saving earlier.
