MINT officially named a “cool brand”
September 25, 2006
Credit card provider MINT has been named one of the coolest brands in the UK at the CoolLive event, the lender has announced.
Among the people on the judging panel at the event, which considered brands, people and places with the intention of deciding which were the coolest, were Radio One DJ Trevor Nelson, designer Ben de Lisi and editor of Dazed and Confused magazine Nicki Bidder.
As well as using the judges’ opinions, the organisers of the show also carried out a poll to canvas public views on brands.
Jerry Toher of MINT financial services said: "Our focus at MINT is to continue to deliver market leading products and services that make the management of money as hassle-free as possible."
He also stressed that the brand’s ethos was to address the market in an innovative way and deliver a "fresh approach to finance".
MINT launched in 2003, bringing the first curved credit card onto the market. Since then it has expanded to offer personal loans, home and motor insurance.
