Churchill revises motor insurance offering
September 26, 2006
Insurance provider Churchill has updated its motor insurance package by offering customers an extra facility which allows them to have a replacement car which matches, or is similar in size to, their own car while theirs is off the road.
The company claims that it will offer those drivers who choose this optional extra a vehicle similar to their own, up to a five-door two-litre estate car.
If a customer owns an MPV or a van they will be offered a replacement mini-MPV or a smaller van.
According to Churchill, this facility will offer peace of mind to some customers as it will let them know that any replacement car they need to use will suit their needs. It could be particularly useful for families, according to Churchill.
Frances Browning, spokesperson for Churchill Car Insurance, said: "We are giving our customers the option that if they must have a car that matches their lifestyle, then we are able to provide it causing the minimum disruption to them as possible."
Anybody insured with Churchill who takes up this option will also be offered £50 a day travel costs, up to a maximum of £500 and for 28 days following an accident, if they are injured and unable to drive.
