Brits are kitchen-lovers
August 24, 2007
Brits saving money for a house are most concerned about finding a property with a big kitchen, according to research from one insurance provider.
A house with space for a kitchen table was found to be people’s number one priority, with 15 per cent naming it as the most important factor in choosing a home, a new survey from Legal & General has found.
A large enough garden and room to build an extension were the next most influential features that buyers looked to, 11 per cent and nine per cent respectively thought that their money was better spent on houses with these advantages.
“The look and feel of today’s homes is changing to reflect the changing demographics of different groups of people,” said Ruth Wilkins, Legal & General head of communications.
“What may be important to some is different to others when it comes to buying their home,” she concluded.
