UCB Home Loans increases variable rates

Mortgage lender UCB Home Loans has announced that it is increasing its variable interest rates following changes in the base rate.

All of the interest levels in its variable range will be increased by 0.25 per cent for both new and existing borrowers.

The flexible variable rate offering from the lender has now been set at 7.04 per cent, with a matching rate applied to the UCB Home Loans investment flexible product.

Following the rise an interest rate of 6.64 per cent has now been confirmed on the company’s loyalty variable offering, while its self-certification variable rate is now 7.64 per cent.

All of these changes will take effect as of September 1st 2006.

UCB Home Loans is the specialist lending arm of the Nationwide Building Society and specialises in self-certification lending.
