Norwich Union unveils internet-only cover package

Insurance provider Norwich Union has launched an internet-only package which it claims will make motor cover simple and straightforward.

According to Norwich Union, the Simple Cover insurance package saves on overheads as it is only available online and also eliminates the add-ons which can influence insurance premiums.

The fact that the insurance provider is backing Simple Cover ensures that customers will receive “quality” cover and “reliable” customer service, Norwich Union claims.

Mark Godfrey, head of Norwich Union direct motor marketing, said: “Easy and straightforward, Simple Cover is the perfect solution for time-poor, internet-savvy motorists on the lookout for quality insurance at cheaper prices.”

The package includes a claims team which is available 24/7, a protected no-claims discount and local rate calls when making a claim.

It does not, however, incorporate personal accident cover, medical expenses or cover for driving other cars.
