I declared my car as sorn over the phone, really simple to do..until i tried to tax it at the post office a few days later… icouldnt tax my car as i didn’t have the log book!!! why was this not explained after declaring sorn??? would save alot of wasted journeys in the snow, with young children!!!

With Post Offices losing yet more bussiness I shall be supporting them by renewing my car tax at the post office and not on line or by phone .
Support your Post office unless you wish to lose them

Call me old fashioned if you like but I like to support my local PO,AND TRY TO SAVE IT FROM CLOSURE AND KEEP LOCAL PEOPLE IN WORK. My husband has just lost his job and his car.

dont blame the government for the option of taxing your car whatever on line its the sign of the times, supermarkets, insurance companies, travel agents etc are all using this method, it cuts down on paperwork and waiting time.
as im a novice on a computer and im not really interested in them although my wife and daughters have used our house pc for years.
so im not a couch potato, i go to my village postoffice queue or not.
