Internet a useful tool for credit card customers
May 14, 2008
According to a recent report the Internet has become an invaluable tool for credit card customers in the UK, with many using the Internet to learn more about credit cards, browse and compare credit cards, make applications for credit cards, and even to manage their credit card accounts.
Figures show that many people prefer to use the Internet than any other source to look at and manage all aspects of credit cards. Research, which was carried out by Global Reviews, showed that 64% of consumers prefer to use the Internet when it comes to applying for a credit card, and 68% prefer to use the Internet when it comes to managing their credit card account.
However, officials were concerned that the quality of credit card websites isn’t always up to scratch, with one official stating: “As household budgets tighten across the UK, many credit card customers will start to notice the rates they have been paying on their credit cards and begin to look around for better deals. With so many customers going online, providers wanting to attract these customers need to make sure that their website offers the information customers are looking for. All the online applications we looked at could be significantly improved. There is a lot more that providers can be doing to make it easier for their customers online.”
