Barclaycard cuts its rates

Barclaycard cuts its ratesBarclaycard have announced that they are lowering their typical APRs on their Premiership and Charity cards from 17.9% to 14.9%.

This move does not affect any other aspect of the cards, for example the 12month 0% balance transfer offer on the Premiership card and the 6month offer on purchases and balance transfers on the Charity card. Also the 2.5% handling fee will still apply to balance transfer offers.

Barclaycard Premiership cards offer the cardholder 0% interest on both Premiership and non-Premiership season ticket purchases until the balance is paid, plus 10%discount at JJB Sports stores and also the opportunity to win Barclays Premiership tickets.

As for the Charity card, Barclaycard Charity donates £5 when the cardholder makes their initial purchase and thereafter 0.3% of future purchases to be divided equally between Save the Children, the Samaritans, Marie Cure Cancer Care and the Woodland Trust.
